Give it a Go 2012 Launched

This is a call for all London Judo Clubs to give inspired first-timers to Judo a free go at our sport.

The Give it a Go Campaign has been designed to break down the barriers to people taking up sport and will be a great chance for you to showcase your club and attract potential members.

All information can be found by following this link:

http://www.giveitago.org/

In order to take part your club must meet the following criteria:

  • All activities must be held between Monday 13th February and Saturday 31st March 2012 (some flexibility may be allowed)
  • All activities must be free of charge to new participants for the first six hours of coaching (subsequent charges can apply)
  • All activities must provide a minimum of 6+ hours coaching to new participants  – This can be 4 x 1.5 hr sessions or 3 x 2hr sessions
  • All activity organisers must complete the relevant monitoring and evaluation form
  • All activities must be inclusive of disabled people, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups and females
  • All activities must offer clear ongoing participation opportunities to participants (this could be discounted membership, incentives or rewards)
  • All staff must be CRB cleared, trained and qualified to deliver the activities provided when working with children and vulnerable adults
